The Ravager is a large mobile heavy artillery platform with tremendous range. The single cannon fires very slowly, but the explosion does significant damage to an area. Armed with both regular artillery shells and AM shells, the Ravager can annihilate a wide range of enemy units.

Background[]

A mobile artillery platform, the Ravager fires massive shells from its single heavy cannon that inflict massive damage to the target area. In order to fire the Ravager must deploy its bracers, which make it vulnerable to close-range attacks from infantry and other fast-moving units. Due to its extreme range, the Ravager can often benefit from allies scouting beyond its normal viewing distance so that it can fire even further away. Its variety of shell types make it an equal opportunity destroyer, leaving circles of death across the battlefield.

Overview[]

As a heavy artillery unit packing one of the longest ranges in the game, the Ravager can remain out of enemy's vision while bombarding hostile units and structures with devastating artillery shells. It has 2 different types of ammunition which are effective against different unit types, making it capable of dealing with all types of ground units. It is more powerful and more heavily armored compared to Liberation Front's Cyclops, but it moves slower and costs more to field. It is also very vulnerable to air units and those that are able to close the distance.

It is best to switch the shells depending on what enemy units you are dealing with. Use AM shells against heavies and use normal shells against anything else. Like all artillery units, it is best to also have other units to scout for them, or have an ally scout for you. It is also wise to put other units between them and the enemy since they are very vulnerable at close range. Hiding them behind a Shadowmaker with cloaking field is also effective.
